FAQ

CONSULTING

Who is consulting for?
Consulting is for therapists at any stage—those just getting started, those feeling stuck or burned out, and those growing or leading a group practice. If you’re trying to figure out your next step, you’re in the right place.

Is this therapy or supervision?
No. Consulting is not therapy and not clinical supervision. It’s guidance focused on the business, leadership, and personal sustainability side of being a therapist or practice owner.

What kinds of things do therapists bring to consulting?
Common topics include starting a private practice, growing or stabilizing a group practice, burnout, leadership challenges, systems and processes, boundaries, decision-making, and balancing the work with real life.

Do you only work with group practice owners?
No. I work with solo therapists, group practice owners, and those considering making the transition. Wherever you

are in your practice journey, consulting can meet you there.

What makes your consulting different?
I’ve built and continue to lead a large group practice—nearly 40 therapists across three locations over the past 11 years. This work is based on real experience, not theory or templates. I understand the pressure, the responsibility, and the emotional weight that comes with running a practice.

What does working together look like?
Consulting can be short-term or ongoing. Some therapists come for clarity around a specific decision. Others

want steady support as they build, grow, or restructure their practice.

Do I need to have everything figured out before starting?
Not at all. Most people don’t. Consulting is often where clarity begins.

Do you help with burnout and sustainability?
Yes. Burnout is common in this field, especially for practice owners. Consulting focuses on building systems, boundaries, and leadership practices that support long-term sustainability.

RETREATS

Who should attend?

Retreats are for any individual interested on broadening their expertise and enriching their experience in the mental health domain. Likewise, those who relish travel, relaxation, and forming new connections will find value in attending.   An added bonus of combining travel with continuing education is the tax benefits you may receive.  This encompasses a wide range of professionals, including but not limited to social workers, counselors, and marriage, family therapists and many more.
